Please find here the details to register for the DJINN CONFERENCE (Midterm Workshop). Please fill in the required fields and upload an abstract for an intended presentation.
Of course, it is not mandatory to provide an abstract for participating/registering.
You may also upload an abstract later if you wish, but please note the deadline for submission, which is 1 November 2021 at the very latest.
Please upload your abstract via the ‘file upload’ below. Please make sure that your abstract does not exceed 1-2 pages
and please use the >MS-Word template for writing your abstract.
Please either upload the MS-Word file directly (.doc or .docx) the .pdf equivalent. but please note that
we would prefer the MS-Word version as it might help us to embed slight layout changes, the latter being likely necessary to compose a coherent book-of-abstracts.
In case you need to send a corrected version later, please do so. And no worries, we will use the latest version you sent.

The conference fee is 350€ – and will contain a booklet of abstracts, coffee breaks, lunches, and a workshop dinner. Moreover, it is intended to collect all presentation files and to make them available to the conference participants – as PDF files – via the DJINN website (‘DJINN CONFERENCE’ tab).
All payment actions will be handled by the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics via a corresponding link to the VKI website, which will be opened later, see information below.
Please note the following:
No payment is due until the beginning of October 2021 – as we (try to) make provisions for any change in the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision to postpone payments will (hopefully) prevent us from sending participation fees back to a large(r) part of participants in case we need to move to an online conference.
A payment link (to the VKI) will be opened by the end of September 2021.
If the pandemic will not allow for a face-to-face meeting, no fees apply accordingly.
Nevertheless, registration is possible at any time and we would even encourage everybody to do so, which gives rise to a comprehensive planning of the conference.
